A Study on Marketing of NTFPs in Bastar Region of Chhattisgarh State with Special Reference to Fermented Traditional Drinks

Chhattisgarh, state of east-central India having 41.21 percent its total geographical area under forest cover. It is the third largest in terms cover famous for richness biodiversity, tribes and culture. The tribal people mainly depend on produce their livelihood. present paper focuses Marketing NTFPs with special reference to fermented traditional drinks i.e., Mahua (Madhuca longifolia var. latifolia (Roxb.) A.Chev.), Chhind (Phoenix sylvestris (L.) Roxb.) Salphi (Caryota urens L.). study has been conducted selected rural markets four sampled districts Bastar region Bastar, Dantewada, Kanker Kondagaon month November December, 2022. purely based data obtained from respondents there which shows that market price varies according availability.
